Showcasing space, service, and thoughtful details — photography that sells stays.
For AKA Hotels, a Boston hotel chain — newly renovated and designed for comfort — we created a photo library focused on room aesthetics and guest experience. No models were needed: the visuals are driven by spacious, well-lit interiors and the small luxuries that turn a night away into a memorable stay. I shot stills alongside a video team led by production company 5th Street East to ensure photo/video consistency across the brand rollout.
Authentic hospitality: Images that communicate warmth, reliability, and effortless service.
Detail-first storytelling: Emphasize the tactile elements guests notice — linens, robes, coffee setup, stocked mini-fridge, and thoughtful amenities.
Lighting & space: Natural and practical lighting to highlight room scale, layouts, and newly renovated finishes.
Brand cohesion with video: Coordinate framing, color, and timing with the production team so stills and motion read as one campaign.
What we focused on
Signature Room: Crisp, inviting beds with white linens, bedside lamps, and desk setups positioned to show comfort and functionality.
Executive Suite: Wide-angle images of the larger living space, panoramic views, and lifestyle touches like the pool table and lounge seating.
In-room Amenities: Close-ups of robes, coffee maker, well-stocked mini fridge, and branded toiletries to communicate value and care.
Room Service & Hospitality: Styled trays with dessert and wine, staged arrivals, and service moments that sell convenience and indulgence.
Dog-Friendly Touches: Branded dog bed and amenity details that welcome pet travelers without distracting from luxury.

Deliverables we provided
Production snapshot
We scheduled shoots around peak natural light windows and staged minimal, realistic styling to showcase true room scale and use. Coordination meetings with the production company ensured matching color temperature, wardrobe/prop continuity (robes, linens, branded items), and a shared shot list so stills and video could be deployed together.
